Erik A. Martin, J.D., LL.M. 

Erik A. Martin is an attorney and consultant in Chicago, Illinois who concentrates his legal practice on health care regulatory compliance matters, operations, and transactions.  Erik works closely with academic medical centers and other health care providers to advise them in areas of clinical research billing compliance, developing health care system compliance policies and regulatory materials, drafting system wide contracts and transactional agreements, and providing research and legal counsel in a wide array of health care legal matters. 

Erik began his career working in legislative and regulatory policy in California, where he worked with non-profits on health care and financial regulatory matters, and later for the California Assembly Judiciary Committee. Erik continued his work in health care regulation in Colorado, where he was involved in implementing federal health care regulations at the state level, and oversaw the development of an award winning resource tool for uninsured and underserved populations, along with an accompanying guide to the laws and regulations affecting safety-net providers. Prior to joining Meade, Roach & Annulis, LLP, Erik worked in the Office of the General Counsel for Advocate Health Care, and served as a Health Law Fellow with the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy at Loyola University Chicago, School of Law.

Erik is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys where he serves on the Mentoring Committee.

Erik earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, and received his LL.M. in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago, School of Law.

Erik is licensed to practice in Illinois and Colorado.
